What Your Dog
Needs to Stay With Us

A quick checklist to make sure your dog is ready. These requirements protect every guest in our care — and yours.

At Noble Nose, we maintain strict health and vaccination standards for every dog that boards with us. In a close-contact setting, these requirements aren’t just policy — they’re how we protect your dog and every other guest. All records must be provided by a certified veterinarian and must be current at the time of drop-off.

Up-to-Date Vaccines
Required for All Guests

All dogs must have current vaccination records from a certified vet before their first drop-off. Dogs not current on required vaccinations will not be admitted.

Required

Rabies

Required by law and essential for any boarding facility. Must be current and administered by a licensed veterinarian.

Required

Bordetella

Protects against kennel cough, which spreads easily in group settings. Must be administered at least 5 days before boarding.

Required

DHLPP

Combination vaccine covering Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. Must be current.

Required

Canine Influenza

Protects against the H3N2 and H3N8 strains of canine flu. Especially important in kennel environments.

Required

Heartworm Prevention

Proof of current heartworm prevention medication is required. Please bring documentation or a recent vet record confirming this.

Required

Flea & Tick Prevention

All dogs must be on a current flea and tick prevention program. Dogs showing signs of fleas or ticks will not be admitted.

Your Dog Must Be
In Good Health

Beyond vaccinations, we require all boarding guests to meet the following health standards at the time of drop-off.

Free of parasites

Dogs must be free of fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites. A recent negative fecal parasite screening is required.

No contagious illness

Dogs showing any signs of illness — coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, discharge, or lethargy — will not be admitted until cleared by a vet.

No open wounds or stitches

Dogs in post-operative recovery or with open wounds requiring monitoring are not suitable for our boarding facility.

Minimum age of 16 weeks

We do not board puppies under 16 weeks of age, as they have not yet completed their full vaccination series.

Not pregnant or in heat

We are unable to accommodate pregnant females or females currently in heat.

Dogs We’re Unable to Accept

To protect all guests and maintain our standards of care, the following dogs cannot be accommodated at Noble Nose. If you have questions about your dog’s eligibility, please call us before booking.

Puppies under 16 weeks — incomplete vaccination series

Pregnant females — require specialized care we don’t offer

Females in heat — disruptive to other boarding guests

Dogs with contagious illness — must be cleared by a vet first

Post-operative dogs — open wounds or stitches requiring vet monitoring

Dogs with expired vaccinations — must be current at time of drop-off
